This is part of the development of Dahilayan, a few minutes away from the camp right at the foot of Mt. Kitanglad. Owned by the Paras family corporation, the pine trees are part of the 20,000-piece reforestation project. The place, when bought by the Paras family, was already denuded due to the massive logging operations in the early 70s and 80s.
You can still see part of the forest denudation in the background. But still, we are thankful that rehabilitation is being done.
