My ongoing project to transform our kitchen and our food into a country-style showcase that reflects frugality as well as produces healthy and eco-friendly food has started simply and significantly. I recycled these old bottles which are part of the heirloom from our ancestral house in Bohol.  I think they add an old character to our kitchen.

This was the kitchen last Christmas. I know I still have plenty of things to do to make it truly frugal and yet fabulous but each day I am finding new inspirations.

Like just this morning, I got this photo from a friend. Hmmmm….

And since today is the feastday of the Candlemas, here is the perfect candle for the kitchen.

Just polish that old wooden mortar, add some varnish, and place your candle. Happy Candelaria everyone!
